Talia Sherman

Welcome! I recently graduated from Brown University where I double-concentrated in Linguistics and English with Honors. I'm particularly interested in literary theory, sociolinguistics, and semiotics. I have research experience in linguistics, development economics, and AI. 

During the 2025-2026 academic year, I am an undergraduate fellow at the Cogut Institute for the Humanities. 

In 2022, I started Tomayto Tomahto, an interview-based podcast about language. I continue to host, produce, and edit the podcast. It's a great joy and privilege to interview academics—to showcase the research, theories, methodological designs, and ideologies of different intellectual projects and disciplines. The podcast has been streamed in over 95 countries.
